There is nothing better than freshly baked breads and specially if there is cinnamon in there. I love baking breads the most since I have got myself to be familiar with the nuances of baking different kinds of VEGAN BREADS, there is something very satisfying about them, when the breads are done, the smell of bread in your whole house, and knowing the breads are absolutely vegan and cruelty free is the biggest joy. This is the simplest recipe I promise, no matter how lengthy it looks, just be patient and keep at it.

Ingredients run down :
Flour : I have used regular all purpose flour (maida) feel free to use Bread flour
Yeast : I have used instant dried yeast, if you’re using dried yeast then add an extra 1/2 tsp of it
Almond Milk : You can use any milk of your choice (dairy if not vegan), oat milk, soy milk, coconut milk
Sugar - You can use regular white sugar overall, though I have used a mix of brown sugar and white sugar
Vegan Butter - You basically need a fat source to keep the bread moist, you can use any oil or any vegan butter.
Lets Get Making !!!
300 gms flour
5 gms dried instant yeast
200 gms almond milk
2 tbsp granulated brown sugar
2 tbsp Vegan butter softened or Oil of your choice
1.5 tsp salt
For Cinnamon rub:
2 tbsp butter/oil
3 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
To do -
Take your stand mixer and add in the flour, sugar and yeast, start the machine and mix for a few seconds.
Now add the butter or oil and again mix for a few seconds.
You can now add the water/milk slowly and start kneading on speed 2 for 1 minute, and then increase the speed to 4 and keep kneading for another 5 minutes
Now add the salt and knead for another 1 minute
Keep the dough in a well greased bowl and let it prove for an hour and a half
Take it out and give it a brief knead and roll it 1cm thick
Now grease the dough with some butter and spray some of the sugar mix (save some for later)
Cut 2 inches thick strips
Twist each strip and roll it -
Rolling technique - hold one end between your fingers and roll the dough around your fingers and tie a slight knot with the other end
Carefully place on a baking mat
Repeat the procedure on all strips and let it prove for 20 mins
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees
Place the baking tray in the oven and bake for 10-20 minutes, until they look perfect golden and fluffy
bring them out and spread rest of the butter on them and sprinkle sugar mix
Enjoy them hot, and do not. i repeat, do not stop at one!
